HSK Exam Prep — Grammar, Vocabulary & Writing Drills

6 courses

The HSK exam rewards learners who can produce Chinese, not just recognize it. These exam prep courses isolate the skills the test actually measures — grammar patterns, high-frequency vocabulary, and sentence writing — and turn each one into short, focused typing drills.

Pick the drill that matches your level below. Each course pairs with the main HSK path: study the level course for coverage, then use these drills to make the exam skills automatic.

About HSK exam preparation by typing

Pair your drills with the HSK core path

Exam drills work best on top of full level coverage. If you have not finished your HSK level course yet, start there, then come back and sharpen the tested skills.

What do HSK exam prep courses cover?

Each course targets one skill the HSK exam measures. Grammar pattern courses teach the sentence structures — comparisons with 比, complements with 得, aspect markers like 了, 着, and 过 — that the test uses to build its questions. Vocabulary sprint courses drill the official word list for a level through fresh example sentences, so words are recalled in context rather than as isolated flashcards. Writing exam prep courses practice the sentence-building and word-order skills the HSK 3 and above writing sections grade directly.

All content stays inside the vocabulary of its level, so an HSK 2 drill never blocks you with HSK 4 words — the only thing being tested is the skill you came to practice.

Why prepare for the HSK by typing?

The HSK writing section is typed on the computer-based exam, so typing practice is literally exam practice: you rehearse producing characters through pinyin input exactly the way you will on test day.

Beyond the writing section, typing every drill sentence from memory is active recall — the retrieval practice that moves grammar patterns and vocabulary from "I recognize this" to "I can produce this in seconds", which is what the exam clock demands.
