Word Order Basics

Subject, time, place, verb, object in that order -- the basic skeleton every 连词成句 answer needs.
Ba Sentences

把 moves the object before the verb -- a favorite in 连词成句.
Bei Sentences

被 marks the passive voice, turning the object into the subject -- a mirror image of 把 sentences.
Comparisons

比 sentences compare two things head to head -- word order around 比 is a common exam trap.
Result Complements

A result word glued right after the verb, like 完/懂/错/到, shows how the action turned out.
Direction Complements

来/去, paired with 进/出/回/上/下, show which way the action moves.
Potential Complements

得 or 不 slipped between verb and complement says whether something can happen.
De Degree Complements

得 links a verb to a degree word describing how well an action is done -- don't mix it up with the potential-complement 得.
Double Objects

Verbs like 给/教/送/告诉 take two objects in a row -- person first, then thing.
Serial Verbs

Two verbs back to back describe one continuous action, like going somewhere to do something.
Shi...De Emphasis

是...的 frames a completed action to emphasize when, where, or how it happened.
Question Forms

吗, 呢, 什么, 怎么, and 是不是 questions -- knowing their fixed slots is half the battle.
Paired Conjunctions

Paired connectives like 因为...所以 and 虽然...但是 link two clauses, each half in its own slot.
Yue Lai Yue

越来越 tracks a change over time, and 越...越... links two escalating actions.
Separable Verbs and Measure Words

Separable verbs like 上课/上班 split apart, and measure words slot between number and noun.
Mock Mixed Set

A mixed practice set combining every pattern from this course -- the closest simulation of the real exam.
